Born and raised in Southern California, where I raised my daughter as a single mother, I recently moved to the southern coast of Oregon — a change that's given me the time and space to finally focus on a career in illustration and surface pattern design.

For most of my life, I worked in the corporate world: as an executive assistant, in purchasing, production payroll, bookkeeping, and for several years, as a senior project coordinator for Walt Disney Imagineering. Like a lot of creatives, I spent years believing I couldn't make a living from art, so painting lived on the back burner. It never went out, though — and slowly I found my own way of blending traditional painting with digital design using adobe illustrator, photoshop & procreate.

Along the way, I've taken classes in college and online — watercolor, oil painting, pastels, acrylics, and several life drawing courses — always feeding the need to create.

My style isn't strictly traditional or strictly minimalist — it's whatever the story needs. What stays the same is the feeling underneath it: warmth, a bit of magic, and an eye for the small, wonderful things.
